Yvonne Hale:Yvonne Hale is the Bureau Chief of the Bureau of Laboratories of the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Food Safety in Tallahassee , Florida . She has worked in public health for 24 years, spending 21 of those years at the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Laboratories in Jacksonville , Florida . She has worked a number of years in the laboratory testing for tuberculosis, and has been able to travel to Russia several times for a project sponsored by CDC in laboratory quality assurance and enhancement of testing. Yvonne was recently appointed Member at Large for the Board of the Association of Public Health Laboratories, and serves as President for the local Pilot Club of Tallahassee, a service organization dedicated to helping those with closed brain injuries. Dr. Claudius Mundoma, Chair
Institute of Molecular Biophysics
Dr. Claudius Mundoma is Director of Physical Biochemistry Facility in the Institute of Molecular Biophysics at Florida State University . The research facility serves about 45 research scientists from different research departments including, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biomedical sciences and College of Medicine . He is a member of the American Chemical Society, Biophysics Society. Science education and advocacy are some of the favorite professional contributions Claudius makes in the society. As a member of the Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus, Claudius has been invited to the US congress as part of the Joint Steering Committee for Public Policy Capitol Hill Day team. Claudius recently took part in the Governor's 2006 Bioscience Career and Education Exposition Initiative. He gave presentations to Gadsden and Jefferson county High School science students as part of the Gorrie Lecture series. Claudius is also Faculty Advisor for the African Student Association at FSU.
